PASTIS SPIKED HOT CHOCOLATE

with Pastis, Dark Chocolate, Nutmeg, Cinnamon & Vanilla

Serves 1

To Pastis spike your Hot Chocolate:

25 ml CORNISH PASTIS

200 ml MILK

3 tsp HOT CHOCOLATE POWDER

1 whole stick CINNAMON

1/2 tsp VANILLA EXTRACT

few pieces DARK CHOCOLATE

1/2 tsp grated NUTMEG

Place a pan over a medium-low heat & add your milk, chocolate powder, nutmeg, cinnamon & vanilla. Give them a good stir & heat to a gentle simmer.

Once simmering, add the pastis then get a stick blender or an electric whisk & froth up the liquid so you create some nice bubbly foam to top the drink.

 Pour through a sieve into a heavy-set glass or mug – then grate over some more fresh nutmeg & a sprinkling of dark chocolate shavings.
